Four Stoneware Articles, American and English, 19th century, a salt-glazed birdhouse with tooled finial, probably Midwestern U.S. origin; a salt-glazed inkwell with tooled accents, Northeastern U.S. origin, late 18th or early 19th century; a master ink with molded top, probably American; and a Bristol-slip-glazed with raised and impressed decoration. Birdhouse in excellent condition with a few raised spots to clay. Early inkwell with three in-the-firing chips and a minor chip to interior of spout. Master ink with minor chips. Bristol-slip-glazed inkwell with some chips and losses to raised decoration at shoulder. H (of birdhouse) 7 1/4" ; Diameter (of master ink) 5 3/8".
