Three-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug, NC origin, circa 1880, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout and open strap handles, the surface dipped in Albany slip and covered in a salt glaze. This glaze treatment has created interesting light-green and orange coloration to one side. Incised "3" below one handle. Flakes to underside, probably in-the-firing. Two chips to one handle. One chip to opposite handle.
