Two NJ Stoneware Advertising Jugs, mid to late 19th century, a half-gallon script jug, inscribed in slip-trailed cobalt "Hellthal Bros / 57 Main St / Paterson / NJ."; paired with a one-gallon jug, impressed "DW & H E RICHARDS / 362 & 364 BROAD ST / NEWARK NJ", surrounded by a scalloped cobalt border, attributed to J.M. Pruden, Elizabethtown, NJ. Paterson jug with fry to cobalt and two horizontal hairlines in handle. Newark jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition.
