One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Iron-Oxide Decoration, attributed to John Swann, Alexandria, VA, circa 1815, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, applied tab handles, and semi-squared rim, dipped to the shoulder in a streaky reddish-brown, iron-oxide slip. Sealed cracks to base and underside. A 2" rim chip. Chips to handles. A 1" base chip.
