Half-Gallon Open-Handled Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Drape Decoration, attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Sr., Manhattan, NY, early 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and open loop handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed drape design. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Desirable small size. A few in-the-firing chips to interior of rim. A 3 1/2" hairline from rim. Minor wear to underside at edge. H 7 1/2".
