Three Pieces of Strasburg, VA Stoneware, fourth quarter 19th century, a three-gallon jug, stamped "J.M. HICKERSON / STRASBURG, VA"; a two-gallon jug, stamped "J.M. HICKERSON / STRASBURG, VA"; and a two-gallon cake crock, decorated on the front and reverse with an inverted cobalt swag motif. Hickerson jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small spout chip. Eberly jug with one restored spout chip, two colored handle chips, and minor unrestored chipping to base. Cake crock with heavy restoration to rim, numerous shallow unrestored rim chips, chips to handles, and a spider crack in underside, continuing onto base.
