Two Stoneware Water Coolers, American, fourth quarter 19th century, a six-gallon, ovoid cooler with slip-trailed cobalt leaf motif, stamped "GATE CITY WATER COOLER. / Patented May 25th", New York State origin, paired with a molded cooler with relief songbird and berry patterns with original metal-lined drain hole in underside. Gate City cooler in essentially as-made condition with a salt drip to front and minor in-the-firing chipping to underside. Molded cooler with a 2 1/4" glazed-over area of chipping to base and a few short in-the-firing line to base.
