One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Batter Pail with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "EVAN R. JONES / PITTSTON, PA", circa 1875, ovoid form with tubular pouring spout, handle at base on reverse, and wood-and-wire bail handle, decorated on the reverse with a large brushed tulip motif. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Light staining. Excellent condition with minor wear including a few tiny chips to handle on reverse and some staining.
