Spongeware Figure of a Dog with Two-Color Slip Decoration, Crooksville, Ohio origin, late 19th century, molded figure of a St. Bernard or boxer with small keg on collar, the surface covered in Bristol slip and decorated with heavy cobalt sponging. Cobalt and amber slip highlights to face and amber slip highlights to paws. Very nice condition. A faint line to leg area and a faint line to base, both of which possibly occurred in the firing. H 6 3/4".
