Scarce Glazed Redware Jug, Stamped "I. BELL", John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840, ovoid jug with flared base and semi-squared spout molding, the surface covered in a reddish-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Impressed with early "I. BELL" maker's mark at shoulder. A restored spout chip. Some light surface wear. Expected light wear to top of rim. A small flake to underside at edge. H 8 3/4".
