Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, attributed to Ralph J. Grier, Chester County, PA origin, circa 1880, both of cylindrical form with squared rim, a quart-sized jar, decorated around the body with four groups of cobalt swags, paired with a one-gallon jar, decorated around the body with four cobalt swag motifs. Quart-sized jar in excellent condition with a tiny rim nick. One-gallon jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition with a minor contact mark to shoulder. H (of quart-sized jar) 7 1/4".
