Three-Gallon Stoneware Tobacco Jar, Inscribed "BOWERS / THREE THISTLES / SNUFF.", attributed to the Fulper Pottery, Flemington, NJ, late 19th or early 20th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flared rim, the surface covered in Bristol slip and decorated with the large cobalt inscription, "BOWERS / THREE THISTLES / SNUFF". Large area of restoration to rim. Otherwise excellent condition with a 1 1/4" Y-shaped line at base, continuing a short distance onto underside.
