Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Drape-and-Tassel Decoration, Manhattan, NY origin, probably Crolius Family, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, decorated around the shoulder with a brushed drape-and-tassel motif featuring spots on the interior. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: Property of a New York State collector. A 1 1/8" spout chip. Light surface wear to midsection and shoulder.
