Fine Small-Sized Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Rose Decoration, Stenciled "Hamilton & Jones", Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded wax sealer rim, decorated with a stenciled rose motif including arched "Hamilton & Jones" maker's stenciling above. Excellent, size, color, and decoration. A 1" glazed-over base chip. A 2" surface line from rim on side of jar, not visible on interior. H 6 1/4".
