Three-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Incised "R B", Robert Broyles, Cherokee County, South Carolina, origin, late 19th or early 20th century, ovoid jar with applied tab handles, and flared collar, the surface covered in a dark brown alkaline glaze. Shoulder incised "R B" above an incised "3". Provenance: The Stradlings; Purchased from Mary Francis Berrier, Yadkinville, NC, 1974. A 6 3/4" vertical hairline extending from base. Wear to one handle.
