Four-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Edgefield District, SC origin, circa 1845, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim and large, arching tab handles, the surface covered in a mottled green alkaline glaze. Jar is very heavy for its size. Excellent condition with a minor handle chip.
