Two Mid-Atlantic Stoneware Jars, circa 1850-1880, a four-gallon ovoid jar, decorated on the front and reverse with a horizontal cobalt tulip motif, Philadelphia, PA origin; paired with a four-gallon cylindrical crock, decorated with a cobalt clover motif on both sides, Baltimore, MD origin. Philadelphia jar with restored cracks, a restored rim chip, restoration to base, a short line from rim, and a minor chip on interior of rim. Baltimore crock in essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing separation on interior and a minor, glazed-over rim chip.
