Rare One-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "CA", Charles Avera, Crawford County, GA, circa 1855, semi-ovoid jug with flared spout, the surface decorated with a streaky olive alkaline glaze, impressed "CA" on top of handle. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Some professional restoration to spout. Otherwise excellent condition.
