Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "S.T. BREWER. / HAVANA.", New York State origin, circa 1855, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed floral motif featuring circular blossoms and spotted tulips. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: David Musser Collection. Water glass staining to surface. A base chip. Two glazed-over iron pings to reverse.
