Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER, MASS," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed cobalt parrot with spotted tail, perched on a leaf also accented with numerous spots. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Excellent condition with some minor flaking on underside only. H 10 1/4".
