Albany-Slip-Decorated Stoneware Spaniel Doorstop, Ohio origin, fourth quarter 19th century, molded figure of a seated spaniel on rectangular base with canted corners, the surface dipped in white slip and decorated with Albany slip details to the face, locket, ears, paws, tail, and base. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example from a eighty-year private collection. Excellent overall condition with some wear to base and a minor base chip. H 9 1/4".
