Rare Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to William Hare, Wilmington, DE, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a distinctive wavy line and floral motif. This design can be found on some of the few signed examples of Hare stoneware known, including a four-gallon jar sold in our July 16, 2016 auction. Very nice condition with an in-the-firing contact mark to rim and some light wear to surface. H 8 3/4".
