Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, Pennsylvania origin, 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with straight and wavy lines of yellow slip surrounded by heavy manganese sponging. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from an eighty-year private collection. Very large surface flakes to rim area on reverse. Losses to slip on interior. Diameter 9 1/4".
