Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "E.J. MILLER / ALEXA", attributed to B.C. Milburn, Alexandria, VA, circa 1860, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, impressed under one handle with the merchant mark of Elisha Janney Miller along with a four-gallon capacity mark. Excellent condition with a small handle chip and minor, glazed-over base chip.
