Two Brown Brothers Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Huntington, Long Island, New York origin, circa 1863-1870, both of squat form with similar floral designs, one stamped "BROWN. BROTHERS / HUNTINGTON LI", the other stamped "BROWN & BROS / HUNTINGTON L.I.". Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. "BROWN. BROTHERS" jug with two salt drips and a contact mark to reverse. "BROWN & BROS" jug with a small, X-shaped line on front and a small ping to reverse.
