Three-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped Twice "NORTON & FENTON / BENNINGTON VT", circa 1845, semi-ovoid churn with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated with an artistically- brushed design of three flowers extending from a central stem. Front with cobalt-highlighted maker's mark and capacity mark. Reverse shoulder impressed with a second Norton & Fenton maker's mark. Large reglued pieces to base. Vertical surface lines to shoulder. Some exfoliation to surface. A few rim chips. Small chips to inner rim for lid.
