Rare One-Gallon Lidded Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Boat Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flared rim, decorated with a brushed design of a rowboat atop waves. Cobalt number at shoulder. A base chip. Wear to inner rim, where a lid would rest. Lid in very nice condition with a few minor edge nicks. H (excluding lid) 9 3/8".
