Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with an abstract flower blossom descending from a leaf stem. Additional cobalt swag decoration at shoulder on reverse. Excellent condition with two tiny base chips, a 1/2" section of very minor glazed-over chipping to rim, and a stone ping to shoulder.
