Very Rare Miniature Double-Handled Stoneware Jug with Brown Slip Decoration, probably Abial Price, Matawan, NJ, second quarter 19th century, diminutive, ovoid jug with wide spout and applied handles, the surface dipped in a chocolate-brown Albany slip and decorated with a darker-brown slip floral decoration and stripes along the handles. Exceptional size and highly unusual glaze treatment. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 3".
