Glazed Redware Jar, Pennsylvania origin, second quarter 19th century, cylindrical jar with footed base, heavily-tooled shoulder, and rounded rim, decorated with heavy streaks of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. An incised mark, resembling a letter "V", appears below the rim. Wear to surface, rim, and underside. Base chips. H 8".
