Five-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to G. & A. Black, Somerfield, PA, circa 1865, cylindrical jar with combed midsection, semi-rounded rim, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a leafy stem bearing three tulip blossoms in the Black style. Excellent condition with two nicks to one handle and a few minuscule nicks to interior of rim, one of which is glazed over. Some minor traces of old red paint to base.
