One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tapered rim, decorated with an elaborate two-stemmed tulip plant bearing four blossoms and two buds, flanked by swags. Additional swag decoration to collar and spout. Unusual hanging tulip motif at base of handle. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A restored crack on left and right sides of pitcher. Restoration to base. Hairline in underside. A faint 2" Y-shaped line on reverse. Restoration to outer edge of spout on interior.
