Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Impressed Cow Decoration, attributed to the Gardiner Stoneware Manufactory, Gardiner, ME, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with heavily-tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with an impressed and well-detailed design of a standing cow. Light cobalt highlights to decoration and capacity mark. Large broken and reglued pieces to base area, extending to underside. A smooth chip to side of rim, adjacent to a salt drip.
