Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, probably Pennsylvania origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt design of a wavy vine bearing two differently-styled flowers, applied over slip-coated clay. Brushed number 3 flanked by dashes below rim. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 1 1/4" rim chip. A chip and worn areas to one handle. A minor chip and minor worn spot to opposite handle. Water glass drips to surface. A salt drip to right side.
