Ten-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "DONAGHHO CO. / PARKERSBURG", West Virginia origin, circa 1885, large-sized, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring the stenciled cobalt inscription "10 / DONAGHHO CO. / PARKERSBURG". Some very tight lines on right side / reverse of jar. Some traces of old paint. A small handle chip. Light wear to surface on reverse. H 18 1/2".
