Tanware Pitcher, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tall flaring collar, decorated around the body with a brushed fuchsia vine design, between a row of dashes and freehand stripe. Collar decorated with a brushed drape motif along with freehand flourishes to the spout area. A colored spout chip. A tight inverted Y-shaped line to collar. Some traces of pre-firing Albany slip smears to surface. A minor chip to bottom edge, visible only when pitcher is turned over. H 6 3/4".
