Glazed Redware Mug, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, cylindrical mug with footed base, tooled shoulder, and ribbed strap handle, decorated with sponged manganese over a yellow ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed "JOHN BELL" on underside. Excellent condition; a minor nick and in-the-firing contact mark to handle. H 4 1/8".
