One-Gallon Philadelphia, PA Stoneware Advertising Jar, New York or New Jersey origin, circa 1835, ovoid jar with flared collar and applied lug handles, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "MOTT & SCHORER, / IMPORTERS OF CHINA GLASS / & QUEENSWARE / 47 NORTH. THIRD STREET / PHILADELPHIA". Two 5" cracks from rim on front. A shallow in-the-firing base chip.
