Half-Gallon Stoneware Bowl with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Pennsylvania origin, circa 1870, ovoid bowl with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with an undulating vine bearing graduated leaves. A 1 3/8" in-the-firing base chip. Other minor base wear. A 1 1/4" glazed-over line on side of rim. A minor chip to top of rim.
