Unusual Copper-Glazed Redware Figure of a Dog, Pennsylvania origin, circa 1850-1880, hand-modeled figure of a dog with poodle cut, seated on an octagonal base, the surface covered in a unusual lead and copper glaze. Incised details to fur and paws. Appealing facial expression with open mouth. Pierced vent holes in mouth and underside. Chip to interior edge of mouth. Minor base chips. L 3 3/4" ; H 4 1/4".
