Sewertile Figure of a Pig, Incised "EJE". Edward J. Ellwood, Tuscawaras County, OH, mid 20th century, molded sculpture of a standing pig with relief floral motif on back and incised accents to eyes, snout, mouth, and tail. Incised "EJE" on underside. Provenance: From a recently-surfaced collection of sewertile amassed during the 1960s and 1970s, many purchased directly from the potters themselves. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. L 6 1/4".
