Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Ingell Family, Taunton, MA, circa 1835-1845, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated on the front with a large brushed design of a flower with wing-shaped leaves surrounded by a looping cobalt line. Reverse inscribed with a number 2 flanked by scalloped lines and underscored by three cobalt dashes. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
