Two Pieces of Stoneware, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, a half-gallon jar with foliate brushwork, paired with a one-gallon butter crock with leaf decoration on the front and reverse. Jar with 1 1/2" chip to bottom edge, a 1" chip to interior of rim, other rim nicks, and numerous lines to underside, extending onto base. Butter crock with small rim chips and a top-to-bottom crack from rim, extending 1" onto underside, as well as a minor glazed-over dent to one handle.
