One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with footed base and short flaring collar, decorated with a two-stemmed clover plant extending up the front. Brushed cobalt swag decoration flanking the spout. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: David Musser Collection. Spout with a small chip and two tiny nicks. Two minor base nicks. A small chip and very minor flake to molding at base of collar. A shallow 1" glazed-over chip to side of collar.
