Two Pieces of New York State Stoneware, second half 19th century, a one-gallon pitcher with cobalt wreath decoration, stamped "BURGER & LANG / ROCHESTER, N.Y"; paired with a two-gallon jug with cobalt decoration of a bird perched on a stylized branch. Pitcher with spout and section of side of rim broken and reglued with additional chips, a crack in base of handle, and some other short, faint lines to surface. Jug with horizontal line extending partway through middle of handle, a handle chip, a short U-shaped line at base, a short vertical line at base, a 1 1/2" chip to base on front, other minor base nicks, and felt covering on underside.
