Rare Miniature Stoneware Presentation Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "M.F.L 1877", New York State origin, 1877, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout and applied handle, decorated with two large brushed tulips, each with a leaf at its base. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Impressed with the cobalt-highlighted initials and date, "M.F.L 1877". Exceptional size and desirable impressed inscription. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some light, in-the-firing fry to cobalt and some two minuscule base nicks, which probably occurred in the firing. H 5 1/2".
