Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "IV MACHETT", Cornwall, NY, circa 1850, a cylindrical handled jar with brushed floral design, paired with an ovoid jar with brushed floral design. Cobalt highlights to maker's marks. Cylindrical jar with hairline across underside, forming a Y at base on left side of jar, and two rim chips. Ovoid jar with a 4 1/4" inverted Y-shaped crack from rim on reverse, two small rim chips, a few minuscule rim nicks, and a 2" x 1 1/4" exfoliated area at base on reverse.
