Half-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Slip-Trailed Line Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, late 18th or early 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, delicately-tooled spout, and applied handle, the shoulder decorated with a slip-trailed wavy line girded between two straight cobalt lines. Banded cobalt decoration to spout. Base with two chips, a minor base nick, and a tiny stone ping. Some stacker marks and in-the-firing residue to shoulder, typical of pieces from this time period. H 9 3/4".
