Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "I. SEYMOUR. / TROY.", New York State origin,circa 1840, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a stylized, slip-trailed design of a tulip emanating from a leafy stem. Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Excellent color. Very nice condition with a few pre-firing surface scratches and some base wear.
