Rare Four-and-a-Half-Gallon Jug, Stamped "N. CLARK / PARKERSBURG", Virginia (now West Virginia) origin, circa 1850, ovoid jug with tooled spout and shoulder, impressed with a large, cross-hatched "4 1/2" above the maker's mark. Shoulder decorated with two vertical, lightly-incised wavy lines. A 1" spout chip. Shallow chipping to base. Impressive and highly unusual size. H 18".
